Confirmation is one of the Sacraments of Initiation, along with Baptism and First Eucharist. Through this Sacrament we receive the strength and comfort of the Holy Spirit to help us meet the challenges and demands we may faceĀ as mature Christians.

Preparation for the Sacrament begins with an information meeting in the late spring of the 9th grade and continues for approximately one year with Confirmation at the end of 10th grade. Students who wish to prepare for Confirmation must have been enrolled in either a Catholic school or in a Catholic Faith Formation program with successful completion the year prior to preparation.

Our confirmation preparation program for youth involves parish ministry participation, classes, an overnight retreat, service to the greater community, a Pilgrimage experience, the completion of a portfolio and an interview. the program is designed to help our young people deepen their relationship with God, their understanding of their faith and to realize the presence of the Holy Spirit in their lives.

Those interested in learning more about Confirmation preparation may contact Kristin Rupprecht for more information.
