About Our Pastor
On behalf of the entire parish assembly, we are most happy you chose Saint Margaret and Saint Mary Magdalen as your place of worship. We will do all we can to make you welcome and hope you will find some ministry or activity in our parish in which to become involved.
As you may be aware by now, our parish is a large one indeed, with nearly 5000 families. We hope that, despite the size, you find your new home to be a friendly one. If there is anything the pastoral council or the staff can do to be of assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us. About Our Pastor
Msgr. G. Michael Schleupner
Msgr. Schleupner obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Mt. St. Mary's University in 1968, a Master of Arts in Theology from Mt. St. Mary's University in 1972 and a Master of Church Administration from the Catholic University of America in 1979. He also earned the Licentiate in Canon Law from the Catholic University of America in 1985. Msgr. Schleupner was ordained to priesthood for the Archdiocese of Baltimore in 1972. He was Associate Pastor of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish and St. Joseph Parish, Fullerton, as well as Vice-Chancellor of the Archdiocese from 1978-1979, Chancellor of the Archdiocese from 1979-1989 and Executive Director of Management Services/Chief Financial Officer of the Archdiocese from 1989-1998. Msgr. Schleupner was Pastor of St. Francis de Sales Parish in Abingdon from 1998-2006. From February of 2006 to the present, Monsignor has been Pastor of Saint Margaret Parish in Bel Air, Maryland.
